Benoy projects Ajdan Walk and Jewel Changi Airport (retail planning) have been recognised by the Prix Versailles Architecture and Design awards.
Ajdan Walk, where we delivered an architecture scheme to create a dynamic cultural and retail hub, won the ‘special prize for exteriors’ for the Africa and West Asia region in the shopping mall category.
Jewel Changi Airport where we delivered experiential design, interior design and wayfinding, won the ‘special prize for interiors’ for the South Asia and Pacific region in the shopping mall category.
Winners were commended for being ‘a testament to extraordinary architecture and design, and a tribute to the retail and hospitality sectors… the living expression of successful, synergy between the economy and culture.’
Prix Versaille commented: ‘The criteria applied by the judges encompasses innovation, creativity, accurate reflection of local, natural and cultural heritage, and ecological efficiency, as well as the values of social interaction and participation which the United Nations holds in high regard.’
