Benoy warmly congratulates China Resources Land for the grand opening of its latest project, CRL MixC Qianhai on 3rd December 2021, which is located in Shenzhen, China.
The China Resources Qianhai Center project is located in the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Services Cooperation Zone, and the development unit 2 02 neighborhood in the southern core of the Guiwan Business Center District. The project is located on the land north of Taoyuan Road, east of Menghai Avenue, and the northeast corner can be connected with the existing subway station. In the future, on the west side of the site will be another subway station point, which will enhance connectivity and accessibility. Surrounding construction is in also being planned on the southwest and south side for the Qianhai Authority. On the east side for the subway and the north side subway transit hub will include an integrated development of office, commercial, hotel and residential functions.
The project parcel has a total land area of 6.18 hectares, the total area of construction of 5.39 hectares, the capacity of the building area of 503,000 square meters, and will be developed as a high-end shopping center, international business apartments, super-Grade A office buildings and ultra-five-star hotels as one of the large-scale high-end urban complex projects.
Design goals
China Resources Land hopes to explore and innovate in the mode of urban architecture and lifestyle, taking the “Chinese Dream” as the driving force for building a world-class city. China Resources Qianhai Center, will be in line with the image of the international metropolis of Qianhai International Marina City, and as the chief benchmark of the core business district of Guiwan District for a financial center and green neighborhood. The design concept is to create a dynamic community through engaging a world class team of experts in architectural form, landscape ecology, architectural style and public space to shape the image of the financial city with iconic and vibrant charm. The indoor and outdoor spaces form a rich collection of human and green atmosphere with world-class integrated services, fully reflecting the location of Qianhai, shaping the core image and creating a new bright spot in Shenzhen.
Design vision
The design concept of the outer and inner circle, along the surrounding plot layout of the five super-high-rise towers, makes for a simple and elegant shape in the large square and punctuates the city skyline. The street façade design is solemn and elegant using simple lines and executed with meticulous design techniques, using materials such as glass, stone, aluminum plates seamlessly together, establishing a high-end business and finance atmosphere. The interior of the plot combines the urban design concept of the financial district and carefully creates a dynamic three-dimensional composite urban space. The volume of the building is dominated by arcs, with the use of step-down shapes and curvilinear curves to create a variable level of activity space. The setbacks on the second to third floors are for catering functions, and are connected to the indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a strong commercial atmosphere.
The center of the plot is elegantly and concisely arranged. It is an urban node in the open green belt of the core business district of the Guiwan area and a highlight of the project. The intersection of the moving line and the financial valley forms a closed but also open circular block. The majestic exterior and the dynamic architectural language of the interior make a strong contrast between the interior and exterior spatial images, and the softness of the podium polylines and the tall and straight towers form a consistent architectural volume.
Significance to the community
Overall, the land and the transport system inside and outside the area is well-connected and convenient, in preparation for future surrounding business, office, leisure amenities. The project features include subway transfers, hotels, apartments, offices, restaurants, main stores, fashion boutiques, cinemas, fitness, supermarkets and more. In order to give full play to the potential value of the plot, the commercial space will be integrated to create a larger commercial district.
The overall layout will be two office towers (T1,T2) building close to the north side of the red line layout. The main entrance and exit of the office is centrally located on the main road, Taoyuan road, and to the entrance of the hotel and apartment close to the south side. The location of the tower as the main element driving user circulation and people flow strengthens and integrates all the elements of the development. This intensive scale advantage also creates more benefits for the larger urban environment.
Surrounded by five super-high-rise towers, we have carefully designed a dynamic three-dimensional composite urban space, internal and external commercial dynamics and financial hubs which form intersections in open ring blocks. The balanced layout of the five towers stands as a new beacon and enriches the city skyline.
