A unique new space for Mercedes F1

Benoy have designed a stunning new motorhome for the Mercedes F1 team.

The unit is completely mobile and will be used at all the team’s European F1 meetings.

Benoy Interiors came up with the design concept for the internal spaces which covers three floors and will be used by multiple groups including team engineers, operational teams, senior management and VIP guests.

The concept celebrates nature, taking cues from three specific references: sky, land and sea. The materials used embrace natural tones, with a light, airy feel throughout. The use of natural planting and timber alongside concrete panels add to the natural look and feel.

The ground floor level is big enough to accommodate 50 people sitting down for food alongside a fully equipped kitchen.

Up on the second floor, VIP guests can enjoy access to a terrace from where they can have uninterrupted views of the F1 track.

All the structures can come apart easily, enabling the Mercedes team to disassemble and re-build for the next race within a three-day timeframe.

Commenting, Jon Grant, Benoy EMEA Interiors Lead, said: We were really excited to work on this unique project. Our concept needed to showcase the Mercedes identity and create an environment which brought their values to life. By working closely with the team, we were able to deliver a space which feels both authentic and in tune with the unique demands of the F1 environment.’
