Benoy supports the 2022 ULI Asia Pacific Summit, key leadership team attending in full force

Benoy was actively involved as Bronze Sponsor at the ULI Asia Pacific Summit from 29 August – 1 September. 

Held at the Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong with live-streamed content, the four-day event explores the evolving complexities of the built environment and also hosted local tours and networking activities that run concurrently and in multiple locations.

Joining the event in-person, the Benoy leadership team includes Terence Seah, Head of Hong Kong, Singapore and Shenzhen; Azaria Lee, Senior Associate Director, Wesley Louie, Head of Design, Singapore, Yudie Siswanto, Architect Senior Associate Director, Rayvees Goh, Director; Teri Tsang, Director; Gregory Kovacs, Design Director; Maybelyne Ng, Head of Marketing and Communications APAC; and Nana Liu, Senior Associate Director.

Local tours in Singapore

On 29 August, the Benoy leadership team took part in the tour visit to the Enabling Village in Singapore. The project is based in a repurposed school and consists of a mix of community amenities and lifestyle retail facilities. The site tour also shed light on the background of the facility and how it aimed to help integrate persons with disabilities into society. 

In-person & live-stream summit

The 2022 Summit held on 30 – 31 August brought together local and international experts from the real estate industry to share their insights and outlooks and to connect in person with peers and friends in various in-person events across the region. 

Gregory Kovacs presented his expertise and thoughts on the future of integration of technology and architecture at the Technology & Innovation Forum” on 30 August. The session was followed by a panel discussion.

Leadership dinner and cocktails in Hong Kong and Singapore

On 30 August, Gregory Kovacs attended the leadership dinner at the American Club in Hong Kong. The dinner brought together Hong Kong’s most prominent and senior real estate members, sponsors and industry guests. During the dinner, they spent the evening sharing views about some of the key takeaways from the Summit and the increasing relevance of ESG (environmental, social and governance) in all aspects of the real estate industry.

The cocktail at Rosemead in Singapore, where Benoy had a dedicated booth and prominent branding, was held concurrently with the leadership dinner in Hong Kong. Terence Seah and Rayvees Goh gave a toast during the event and forged new partnerships and connected with clients, partners and friends, new and old, at the in person networking event. The event gathered over 100 senior executives from the real estate industry with much to catch up on — commercial insights, design best practices and exploring forwarding-looking strategies to transforming cities.

Local tours in Hong Kong

On 1 September, Maybelyne Ng, Head of Marketing & Communications APAC and Gracinda Mou, Marketing Manager APAC, had an opportunity to visit the M+ Museum in Hong Kong, one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world. The Directors and CEO of the West Kowloon Cultural District walked them through the iconic landmark and shared how it was built, the strategy behind it, and the project’s vision for M+’s role in defining Hong Kong’s culture-scape today and in the decades to come.
