Tom Cartledge attends creative industries roundtable hosted by UK Secretary of State, Kemi Badenoch

On the 25th April, Tom Cartledge, CEO of Handley House attended a creative industries roundtable hosted by the Secretary of State, Kemi Badenoch.

The meeting was part of the UK’s Creative Industries Council (CIC), a joint forum between the creative industries and government. Acting as a voice for those working in everything from advertising, architecture and design, to fashion, music and TV, the Council focuses on addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the UK’s creative industries. Its purpose is to drive forward progress on key areas of growth for the sector, including access to finance, skills, export markets, innovation and intellectual property.

Commenting on the discussion, Tom Cartledge said: We are a global creative group, and we have a responsibility to support the UK government — regardless of politics — in their mission to promote our industry. The ability to recruit and retain talent, and to reinforce to clients around the world that the UK welcomes innovation is critical to the creative sector and for UK plc.”

The export of great British design thinking, blended with global expertise and local knowledge, has long been at the centre of the Group’s business model. Benoy, which celebrated its 75th anniversary last year, began life as a small team in rural England and is today an international business operating across Europe and the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.
