On May 11th, the British Consulate General in Guangzhou hosted a reception to celebrate the Coronation Ceremony of the UK’s King Charles III. The event was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Guangzhou and was attended by distinguished guests from various sectors, including government, business, academia, diplomacy, and media.
Gregory Kovacs, Design Director at Benoy, was honoured to receive an invitation to attend the reception. As Benoy’s representative, Gregory was thrilled to be part of this significant moment and to join in the celebration alongside guests representing a diverse range of sectors. Among the attendees were Chinese Government officials, prominent business leaders from UK and China, and diplomatic delegations from Guangdong and Guangzhou.
The reception was made even more memorable with the live performances from Scottish bagpipers and the choir of students from the Guangzhou British School.
As a 75-year old business with roots in the UK, Benoy is immensely proud to have been part of this historic moment and to have witnessed this grand celebration of this historic coronation ceremony in 70 years, following the coronation of the late Queen Elizabeth II in June 1953.
