American Dream won the ‘Most Innovative Retail & Tourism Destination Award’ at the 2023 edition of the Global RLI Awards ceremony held last night in London.
Benoy is delighted to see award-winning “Retailtainment” mega complex, American Dream, recognised internationally. The Global RLI Awards provided a memorable evening that celebrated the most visionary and innovative retail and leisure concepts from across the globe.
Head of Benoy EMEA, Jamie Webb, collected the award in the absence of American Dream’s project lead, Frank Di Niro. Designed by GH+A — as known prior to Benoy’s acquisition of the North America-based company — and led by the ambitious vision of developer Triple Five Group, the property’s massive transformation into a world-class attraction began in 2012. Located in the New York Metropolitan Area, the 3.0 million sq. ft. property is a state-of-the-art hybrid retail, entertainment, and food destination that rivals the grandest in its category internationally.
Commenting on the win, Frank Di Niro, the design director on the project, said, “We are thrilled to see the work of decades by our team of designers and the vision and perseverance of our client Tipple Five Group and partners at Adamson Associates Architects and Gensler, get recognition from the international community. We couldn’t be prouder to be a part of a project and property that is unique in its concept and offer and be able to put it front and centre on the global stage.”
