Benoy is delighted to announce the promotion of Sara Botey Garcia to Director in the London studio.
Sara will lead the London Architecture Team, taking over from John Dawes who moved into the role of Director, Client Development last month.
Sara joined Benoy in 2016 and is ARB and RIBA registered. Building her expertise throughout internationally renowned practices in London, Sara has an interesting and diverse portfolio. She has led projects from the initial concept design stage through to tender stage, and she brings a wealth of design and technical knowledge to the business. Sara applies her wide-ranging skills to projects in various sectors, including masterplanning, retail, mixed-use developments and hospitality.
Sara has been involved in major international projects throughout Africa, Asia and Europe. Her work includes:
- London Heathrow Airport expansion, looking at bringing value with a Hospitality development at the north Gateway;
- The Fourth Mile in London, a 70,000m² mixed-use development;
- Al Waab City in Qatar, a 30,000 m² retail led mixed-use development;
- Al Basheer Medical City in Sudan, a Masterplan design of a new medical city in the Khartoum;
- Koza Square in Bulgaria, a 535,000m² mixed-use build to enhance the lifestyle of residents with serviced apartments, offices, a hotel and an entertainment centre.
Sara graduated in Foreign Trade and International Business from the University of Barcelona and went on to study Architecture at UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya).
