The 2023 Conference’s central theme, “Humanizing High Density: People, Nature, & the Urban Realm,” underscores Asia’s dedication to integrating tall buildings into urban settings while considering local conditions.
The 6‑Day Event: Workshops, Conferences, Awards, and Gala Dinner
The 6‑day event included workshops, conferences, an awards ceremony, and a gala dinner at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 15 – 18 October, followed by activities in Kuala Lumpur from October 19 – 21.
The conference and panel discussions aimed to foster dialogue for aligning economic, social, and environmental goals to enhance global living conditions.
Celebration of Accolades
During the awards ceremony and gala dinner, Terence expressed his deep appreciation for this momentous occasion, celebrating alongside a diverse assembly of industry representatives.
Terence stated, “I am thrilled that our work on CRL MixC Qianhai, where we were responsible for the retail podium design and collaborated with Goettsch Partners, has been recognized with the Urban Habitat Award. The project seamlessly integrates the towers with the retail complex, creating a comprehensive mixed-use Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) complex. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our client, China Resources Land, for their exceptional partnership, and to our dedicated design team for their outstanding contributions.”
Terence added, “It also brings me great joy to hear that the Horizon Mall in Wuhan, also known as 1 Corporate Avenue, has been recognized as the Best Tall Building Asia. Our role in this project was centered on retail planning and interior design. As designers, I am genuinely pleased to see this project acknowledged, and I extend my congratulations to the client, Shui On Land Limited, and all the designers involved.”
