Exclusive Study Tour: Singapore’s Urban Transformation
In collaboration with the Urban Land Institute (ULI), GuocoLand Group, and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), Benoy co-hosted an exclusive Study Tour showcasing Singapore’s evolving urban landscape.
The tour began at Guoco Midtown, where Jois Phoo from GuocoLand highlighted sustainable design features and innovative architecture, including public spaces, Grade A offices, and the Network Hub. The second leg, led by URA’s Jevon Liew, took participants through Kampong Glam, with stops at Haji Lane and Sultan Mosque, emphasizing the success of placemaking and community revitalization in this historic district.
Urban Regeneration Through Sustainable Design
The Study Tour emphasized urban regeneration through innovative and sustainable design. Key areas like Beach Road and Bugis exemplified how Singapore integrates heritage conservation with modern, sustainable urban development. This showcases Singapore’s commitment to blending cultural preservation with eco-friendly, future-forward solutions.
Benoy Leadership at ULI Singapore Conference
Benoy’s leadership team was well-represented at the ULI Singapore Conference, including Terence Seah, Director and Head of Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shenzhen and ULI Singapore Executive Committee member; Lawrence Ler, Project Director; Bartosz Majchrzycki, Senior Associate Director of Landscape Architecture; and Asep Ajabar, Architect Associate Director.
Conference Highlights and Networking
Held at Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, the conference brought together over 300 industry leaders to discuss vital topics such as sustainability, decarbonisation, and urban renewal. The event concluded with a networking cocktail reception, fostering connections and future collaborations within the real estate and design communities.
ULI Leadership Dinner
On the evening prior to the conference, Terence Seah, attended the ULI Leadership Dinner at 1‑Flowerhill Camille Restaurant in Sentosa. Attended by over 80 senior real estate leaders, the dinner centred on discussions around commercial trends, design innovations, and urban planning strategies to shape future cities.
