Benoy is proud to announce our participation in the newly unveiled positioning of the Shanghai West Bund Financial Hub as Westbund Central. Developed by Hongkong Land, this project brings together a host of renowned international architectural firms. We are honoured to provide the architectural design for WB CENTRAL’s retail podium at Plot D.
Our long-standing partnership with Hongkong Land is rooted in a shared vision of creating exceptional urban spaces. Through this collaboration, we are thrilled to once again join forces to develop a premier landmark that enhances the retail experience and fosters a vibrant shopping atmosphere.
Our design for WB CENTRAL’s retail podium at Plot D aims to create an exceptionally luxurious retail space. A standout feature of the design is the ETFE canopy, which provides a spacious semi-open area for a variety of retail activities.
Westbund Central represents Hongkong Land’s largest ever single investment, with a total investment of up to US$8 billion. Situated at Shanghai’s Xuhui waterfront, the project encompasses five major plots and integrates finest quality retail spaces, office buildings, residences, hotels, and arts and cultural facilities in the Chinese mainland. It is expected to offer a total gross floor area of 1,100,000 sqm of premium mixed-use properties.
