Challenge
The brief was to create a ‘Plug&Play’ fit out scheme within an existing building. The design needed to offer personality and character, but in a way that left space for a future tenant to bring their own identity. The space needed to appeal to the widest possible range of prospective users, in particular the typical hybrid worker who might only be looking to spend a few days in the office each week.
Solution
The final designs are inspired by nature. The public spaces have a more neutral vibe, typically found in hospitality. Private spaces, such as meeting rooms, are bolder in colour and character, whilst still leaving room for a tenant’s brand identity. The concept includes several flexible working zones where people can come and ‘plug in’ as they need on a hybrid basis. Workstations are intermingled with hot-desking zones, facilitating the creation of worker ‘neighbourhoods.’
Result
The space offers comfort, flexibility and personality without being overbearing. The use of distinctive colour schemes and materials inspire an emotional response and tell a unique story whilst still leaving room for other brand experiences.
