COS is a timeless fashion brand known for its enduring style that transcends seasonal trends. The London-based brand opened its first Chicago store on Oak Street in 2018. Benoy was entrusted with conducting the site survey, the Construction Documentation and Administration.
The chic minimalist interior of the four-story Chicago location is punctuated with pieces of mid-century modern furniture within a neutral backdrop of terrazzo stone and white oak floors, off-white walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows, while the façade design pays homage to Chicago’s modernist architects who contributed to the city’s celebrated architectural history. The original plan called for a two-story space but doubled to a four-story concept as plans developed and inspiration from the Mondrian inspired design.
Spanning three levels and 5,700 square feet, the COS flagship store in Chicago was opened in 2018.
