Challenge
La Cordée is a Québec-based brand known for their expertise and product offering, but their brick-and-mortar stores lacked cohesion and a point of view. We were challenged to revive this legacy local brand and make their store design a core part of the shopping experience.
Solution
We developed a design concept around the aesthetic of an urban chalet. A community classroom and meeting space were integrated into the heart of the store, serving as a platform for in-store activation through workshops, vendor demonstrations, and community engagement. La Cordée’s in-house service department was brought to the front of the store to help showcase the company’s commitment to their customers. Fixturing was designed with flexibility in mind to allow the store to adapt seasonally
Result
La Cordée brand is successfully rolling out the new customerfocused concept store design in other locations and have fully adopted the community event space as an integral part of their brand promise.
