A dynamic and programmable wayfinding scheme that allows the building to flexibly switch on or switch off information in response to changing requirements
The new home for UAL’s London College of Fashion is a key component of the East Bank cultural quarter in Stratford, London. The building brings together an institution currently operating in six sites across London, under one roof. Our approach to the Wayfindng scheme needed to respond to the wide range of academic and public requirements. We were also acutely aware of the differing needs of regular users of the building as well as those visiting for the first time. Our creative response combines a pared back scheme applied direct to the concrete walls, complemented by moments of digital projection, that can respond to updates and changing requirements.
