Challenge
Redefining an existing concrete shell structure, remnant of a rectilinear design, that no longer fits the client’s needs. Tastefully combining full-service restaurants, fast casual eateries, and traditional food court tenants into a modern curvilinear concept.
Solution
Transform a concrete building into a contemporary food hall experience incorporating lush water landscapes and diverse dining opportunities. Curves are illustrated in flooring patterns, seating compositions, and a ceiling system that provides an overall unifying aesthetic throughout design.
Result
Innovative design offering a specialty grocer, three full-service restaurants, eight fast casual eateries, eleven fast food tenants and twelve hawker stations with over 1500 public seating areas in an organic modern concept. Use of daylight, greenery and water transforms the concrete structure for a one-of-kind dining experience in Egypt.
