Challenge
How to optimize the retail footprint and street front presence of an established upscale shopping centre, to then create leasable spaces that could allow the property to attract new, sought after tenants in a very competitive market.
Solution
Through creative planning and leasing, studies across the 3 retail levels of an expanded center with new soaring 32′ tall glazed box facades, and through the development of an effective retail storefront criteria, Manulife Centre could now offer worthy retail opportunities.
Result
Working in collaboration with Manulife’s Architectural, Signage, and Leasing team, we were able to create leasable spaces to help land Canada’s first Eataly location across 3 floors, providing them with an engaging presence at the street front and from within the interior mall. Manulife was also able to secure flagship leases with Maison Birks Jewellers, LCBO Wines & Spirits, Indigo Books, and a number of niche retailers.
