Challenge
Benoy were tasked with designing a hotel that would introduce a bold and sculptural element to the wider Al Malga village scheme.
Solution
The hotel plays a vital role in creating a new cultural scene within the Al Malga Village proposal. Acting as a beacon, the 12-storey hotel tower is located at the end of a pedestrianised boulevard that will seamlessly connect guests and customers to the retail dining and leisure amenities. A unique design sees a façade of bronze-like louvres sweeping around the building, forming a dynamic wrap that exposes public dining spaces and landscaped terraces.
Bringing a unique lifestyle hospitality experience to the Kingdom’s capital, Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga Hotel and Residences will boast 200 keys, including 130 standard rooms and suites, with 25 one-bedroom, 35 two-bedroom, and ten three-bedroom serviced apartments. The hotel will pioneer innovative culinary and mixology experiences in the Kingdom with three new restaurants whilst also being home to generous event spaces and state-of-the-art social wellness spaces.
Result
Benoy has designed the hotel and is leading the facade design and the interior design of the mall, working closely with Omrania, the lead consultant on the wider scheme. The scheme is in development with owner Olayan Financing Company (OFC). Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga is set to open in 2026.
