Sector

Client

Chinachem Group

Size

27,870 sqm

Challenge

The project is situated under an existing office tower and hotel tower, with a bus terminus, and is connected by footbridge to other major malls in the area, as well as the MTR West Rail Line station. With already established malls and upcoming new malls in the area, the Nina Mall is in need for an uplift to stand out amongst the rest. One of the challenges is to blend in new design with existing features that the client wishes to keep.

Solution

Our designers worked closely with contractors on site to tailor details that will joint seamlessly with existing structures.

Though challenged by restraints on existing structures, cost and construction time, the design optimized the existing site potential, enhancing retail experience whilst introducing a central atrium space for pop-up shows that can be broadcasted on new extensive LED screens on facade facing the existing outdoor event space.

Result

Nina Mall 1 attained the HKBEAM Plus Gold certification, with careful selection of materials and incorporation of green features in the renovation works.
