Challenge
Opened in 1986 and considered the flagship location in the heart of the Lawrence Park community in Toronto, our team faced an ambitious renewal project: to create a new design for the store after a devastating fire.
Solution
The store design maximizes space, featuring a central open area above the demo kitchen, highlighting Pusateri’s local tradition and products: signature in-house premium beef, house-made foods, popular local bakery items, cheeses, fresh produce, seafood, and groceries.
Result
A modern approach was designed, respecting its more than 50 years of history and tradition. The perfect blend of simple architectural lines and sophisticated materials treated monolithically creates the ‘food and fashion’ environment, a key aspect of our design approach. The careful selection of carrara marble, limestone, and dark wood forms the sumptuous backdrop for the artfully presented gourmet products and merchandise.
