Challenge
Our brief was to establish a new luxury landmark destination for the city of Tashkent via a unique and innovative design that would draw on local context and history.
Solution
A strong podium serves as the foundation, housing the amenities and establishing a sense of stability. The tower above is inspired by the rich cultural heritage and intricate geometric patterns of Tashkent. Split into two distinct angled forms, the structure gracefully steps and rotates, creating an elegant silhouette of terraces and balconies that perfectly frame the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. A key feature of the building is the external steel skeleton that defines the building’s geometric shapes The prominent vertical fins provide effective shading, optimising natural daylight while minimising heat gain for energy efficiency and enhanced guest comfort. High-end amenities will include a grand ballroom, pre-function spaces with adjoining bars, multiple meeting rooms, a fully equipped gym, indoor and outdoor pool overlooking the park, a managed spa and treatment space, and a rooftop restaurant and bar on the 23rd floor. Additionally, nearly the entire west facing ground floor will be dedicated to premium retail offerings facing a new town square, part of Phase 2.
