In 2015, we were tasked with creating a unique, multipurpose urban parkland in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Through designing this world-class destination, we had to strike the right balance between commercial use and urban park, appeasing many different stakeholders from client side to municipality. Thus, we developed an environment that was accessible, all-inclusive and which would serve to bring the community together.
Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Park will represent a completely new typology for Abu Dhabi. Collaborating with our landscape architects, we have blurred the boundaries between green spaces and commercial areas, such as a series of park pavilions and an open air amphitheatre, creating a unique lifestyle offer within the heart of the community.
Project opened in 2021.
