Challenge
The brief was to design a wayfinding system that will fit around the varied operational needs of Somerset House.
Solution
As a result, Benoy Branded Environments designed freestanding totems within the courtyard, affording the flexibility to rearrange them during large-scale events. Updateable totem panels communicate the diverse programme of events and exhibitions onsite. The design harmonises with the architecture, with the grid thoughtfully echoing the historical façade, and the material palette seamlessly integrating a contemporary touch.
Result
A flexible wayfinding scheme that blends core, static navigational information with dynamic, updatable programme content for this home of cultural innovation in London.
