Challenge
The Florida Mall is a major international shopping destination. Its proximity to Disney World makes it a natural family-oriented center. To accommodate the high volume of shoppers, the mall underwent a significant interior and exterior makeover.
Solution
The new design created a brighter, more inviting atmosphere inside the center. The improvements included enhanced lighting throughout the center with state-of-the-art LED fixtures, expanded skylights, and raised ceilings to maximize the property’s existing natural light. The center also featured new neutral tile flooring in light tones, upgraded and remodeled mall entrances, and colorful, resort-style landscaping incorporating native Florida plants and additional palm trees at all four property entrances.
Result
Guests found a redesigned exterior entrance at the front of the space, which better accommodated customer flow into The Florida Mall and the pavilion. The addition of unique restaurant concepts, new retailers, and enhanced amenities within the new Dining Pavilion provided shoppers with more choices when they visited The Florida Mall.
