Challenge
The Ring, Chengdu is a transformative mixed-use development in the Jinjiang District, reshaping the commercial landscape of the city. As Hongkong Land’s first fully-owned property in the city and the second in their expanding “The Ring” series, this landmark project spans 220,000 sqm and seamlessly integrates an iconic shopping mall, Grade‑A office buildings, and a luxurious 5‑star Hyatt Centric hotel, creating an all-inclusive urban hub.
Solution
Designed to blend world-class architecture with vibrant commercial spaces and lush green landscapes, The Ring, Chengdu aims to establish a “Living Mall.” This community-centric hub serves as a platform for arts, culture, and various events.
Result
The development features three key outdoor spaces: the O’Hub sky bridge, the O’Garden rooftop, and the O’Lane street-level garden, all of which celebrate the city’s affinity for outdoors and nature. The sky bridge connects indoors to a mountain-like landscape, while the rooftop garden transforms the F&B area into a green oasis above the “clouds.” At ground level, a sustainable leisure area offers a natural park-like environment that is open 24⁄7 for the public.
