Challenge
Montreal Eaton Centre is a multi-level retail complex and a key transportation hub for commuters, office workers and McGill University students. Following the departure of a defunct department store, an opportunity arose to revitalise the existing asset and pivot to a new and compelling food market proposition.
Solution
Our design concept showcases the heritage of Time Out – a magazine founded in 1968 London, UK to inspire people to explore and enjoy the best of the city. Within an elevated soft-industrial setting, we created an understated mood of nuanced night-time vibe.
Result
Time Out Market — Montreal, the first in Canadian market, offers a wealth of entertainment and vibrant consumer experiences featuring 16 curated food offerings by some of the city’s top chefs. It also boasts three bars, a demo kitchen, cooking school, retail shop and performance space for local talent.
