Challenge

We were briefed to design the masterplan and architecture for a large-scale mixed-use development that links the new buildings to historic Bratislava Old Town and has distinctive character. It needed to cater to the city’s busy pedestrian and transport network, and offer ample commercial opportunities. 

Solution

Stanica Nivy will be a complex of buildings dominated by a high-rise tower that heralds its place in the city. A central hub, it will boast key public facilities such as a new bus station and car park, as well as 75,000 m² retail space, 58,000 m² office space, residential apartments, a 5‑star hotel, and entertainment facilities. 

Result

The project, which has been awarded BREEAM Excellent — Communities, opened in 2021.
