Benoy Landscape Architecture: Diving into 2023

2022 was a milestone year for Benoy Landscape Architecture. Our team doubled in size in London and we opened a new office in Singapore. Meantime, our work expanded across three continents. As we kick off 2023, our portfolio continues to diversify with project types, scales, and geographies, whilst our recently joined designers are actively bringing new and diverse skills to the studio.

Fresh perspectives

Thanks to our growing global team, we can now offer experience honed in notable studios around the world, namely London, New York City, Pittsburgh, Berlin, Stuttgart, Madrid, Venice, Rotterdam, Sydney, Glasgow, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Chengdu, New Dehli, Manama and Johannesburg. Through this global experience, we can offer a wide range of skillsets and expertise covering multiple project types. Our growing team also bring with them qualifications in urban design, architecture, urban planning and horticulture, all of which compliment the work we do in landscape architecture.

Singapore calling

As of mid-2022, Benoy Landscape Architecture expanded its presence into the APAC region, launching an office in Singapore, with the appointment of Rayvees Goh as Director, Bartosz Majchryzski as Senior Associate Director and Mel Yip as Associate Director. Already, they have developed a small team, are winning work on a multitude of projects, and have produced designs with lasting significance. The team currently numbers five with ambitions to grow to eight in 2023.

London growth

We’ve been lucky enough to be joined by some great talent in our London studio. Angus Palmer arrived from New York in 2022 to join the London Office as the new Senior Associate Director. He brings with him over two decades of experience in largescale complex public realm and urban design projects. Mauro Breda, Victor Rubio and Annamari Comrie joined us as Senior Landscape Architects, all bringing with them expertise from large London offices. Our team has been further complimented by Landscape Architects and Junior Landscape Architects, which now brings our London design team to 15. With a growing pipeline of work, we will be looking to expand our team to beyond 20 designers, filling roles across all levels in 2023.

New typologies

Our work typology and expertise continues to expand. Working alongside teams in masterplanning and urban design, we are delivering public realm and ecological design in multiple sectors including entertainment, sport and recreation, retail, residential, commercial mixed use, hospitality, aviation and transport ports.

Looking ahead to 2023

We’re excited about what we can achieve in 2023. This year we’ll be looking to build on our international work but also expand more locally here in the UK. We typically work through all design stages, from visioning, concept, schematic, through to construction documentation.

If you’re planning a project in the UK or further afield, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out via angus.palmer@benoy.com
